Frequently Asked Questions
The following are the most frequently asked questions, if you should have any other queries or questions please do not hesitate to ask, we will be only to pleased to answer them.
Is a spa hot tub good for dealing with stress and tension?
All our spa hot tubs are great for dealing with stress and tension, created from today's fast way of life. They give a deep, progressive, body and back relaxation massage which is a great method and technique for removing stress and tension.
Do you have Wet Test Facilities?
Yes we have wet test facilities along with a changing room.
Why are delivery, installation, set up, commissioning and demonstration costs separate?
Generally when people come into the showroom we do know how we are going to get the spa to where you want it or where you live in South Wales. Typical costs are £295 for easy walk in access, add approximately a further £280 to £500 if a crane is required.
What about electrical and water supplies?
Most of our spas are filled with water from a hose pipe, so no fixed plumbing is required. With regards to the electrical supply you should only use a CSCS/ECS registered Electrician which proves the individuals competence. Typical electrical costs are £150 to £250 for a circuit from your consumer unit to the spa, add a further £150 to £200 should you want a socket outlet or some garden lighting. This is based on a typical circuit length of 30 mtrs. Some of our spas run off a standard 13A socket outlet so no electrical works are generally required.
What about maintenance of the spa?
Maintaining your spa is also very straight forward, all our spa's come with onboard management systems which maintain the water temperature and filtration levels, the only thing you need to do is add some water treatments to the water now and again.
Where do I site my spa?
Your spa can be sited anywhere as long as the surface which it is to be placed is level and firm, please note we do not site on grass or soil.
Are the number of jets important?
Sort of - however to many jets and the water pressure coming from the jets will be reduced giving poor hydro-therapy action. It is more important to have well positioned good jets.
Can I have a choice of colours for my spa?
Yes most spas come with a choice of colours.
Do I need to drain the spa water from time to time?
Yes it is vitally important to drain the spa water after 8 to 12 weeks depending on usage use. Impurities can build up and the only effective way to remove them is to drain the water and replenish.
I have been told that the water can stay in my hot tub for up to 12 months, is this correct?
No.
Is it possible to have a spa from stock today?
Sometimes yes depending on current stock levels, however generally allow 4-8 weeks for delivery of your spa, sometimes slightly longer during busy periods.
Can we visit you at your showroom?
You are more than welcome to visit our showroom at any time to discuss your requirements, bring your bathers if you would like a dip.
Do you have chemical free spas?
The only product that I am aware of that is truly chemical free is Spa Magic known as AquaSafe in the UK. The product is made from seaweed however I still like to shock our tub once a week with a chlorine or non chlorine shock. Ozone and TSS systems can also reduce the amount of sanitising chemical required. Note that you still need to correct water make up if required to help protect the spa's equipment.
